Mt. Aurora Skiland ~ ~ Fairbanks, Alaska

The Farthest North Patrol

About Us

The Fairbanks Ski Patrol is committed to providing the best service and care possible to Fairbanks and the surrounding the communities both on and off the slopes of Mt. Aurora Skiland.

We are an all-volunteer patrol that reflects the diversity of the community that we serve. Our members come from all walks of life and professions. Some have been skiing or riding for many years, others may be relatively new to snowsports. We all have one overarching goal when patrolling, to provide the best service and care possible. Our great diversity helps us reach this goal.

Many of us patrol because it allows us to serve our community while doing something we love, skiing or riding. Patrolling gives us an opportunity to learn new skills, and improve the ones we have while interacting with community members in a positive manner.

You can learn more about our training by exploring our training and recruiting pages on this site. If you have any questions, you can also contact us directly using the contact link, or by swinging by the aid room at Mt. Aurora Skiland when the ski area is open.

We’ll see you on the slopes, until then, think snow, and ski or ride safely.
