Mt. Aurora Skiland
Mt. Aurora Skiland, located just north of Fairbanks, Alaska, holds the distinction of being the farthest north downhill ski area in North America, and perhaps the world. Simply known as “Skiland” by locals, our area provides the character and service that only a small family owned and operated ski area can. Although small, Skiland still delivers the goods with 1,057 ft. of vertical drop, the greatest elevation change in over 1836 miles of Interior Alaska. Skiland offers over 25 trails on over 121 acres of skiable terrain. Many of our trails are more appropriate for intermediate, expert, or advanced expert skiers but we also offer terrain appropriate for less experienced skiers.
